Would It Hold?
The world & the cast

The Would It Hold? universe

A blocky world of castle walls, square trees and wide grass test fields. Three testers, one absurd question at a time, and a stamp at the end of every test.

The cast side by side: tall Noodle with a fist raised, Pixel in a lab coat with a clipboard, and Nugget the round golden chicken
Noodle, Pixel and Nugget, with a one-metre stone block for scale.

THE LEAD

Noodle

A lanky, over-eager rookie who says "Easy!" before he has heard the question.

  • Personality: enthusiastic, well-meaning, always first in line. No ego and no bad intent: the comedy comes from rushing.
  • Look: three spiky tufts of brown hair, one front tooth, a teal T-shirt with an orange stripe, orange shorts, long white sneakers with orange soles, and laces that are always untied.
  • World rule: Noodle never gets hurt. He gets flattened, singed or covered in dust, then he's back. He doesn't always lose: some tests he wins, some flip on a twist.
"Easy!""Easy. Probably.""I meant to do that.""Hold my block!"

Nugget the round golden chicken, wings up and beak wide open
THE SILENT CHICKEN

Nugget

A round, golden, cube-shaped chicken with a red-orange tuft and huge white eyes.

  • Personality: starts calm and panics one step more every round. Never speaks: not a word, not a subtitle.
  • Secret talent: becomes the accidental hero more often than you'd expect.
  • Signature: the loop. Nugget's last gag sets up the first frame again, so every episode starts over.

  2. Nugget alert, eyes wideRound 2: alert
  3. Nugget in full panicLater: full panic

THE SCIENTIST

Pixel

A small scientist in a knee-length white lab coat, with purple hair, big square glasses and a clipboard.

  • Personality: calm, a little smug, very likeable. Doesn't help Noodle; just tells the truth.
  • Signature move: waits for the right moment, says "Actually…", then drops one real, sourced number that settles the test.

The stamp system

Every test ends with a stamp

Holds

It survived. Whatever was tested made it through.

Fails

It didn't. It didn't make it through.

Only if

It survives only under a condition, and the condition is shown right under the stamp.

The tone

House rules of the universe

  • One absurd question. On screen from the very first frame, then tested in rounds that get harder, usually four.
  • Cartoon physics, real numbers. Every number presented as fact is real and sourced in the video description.
  • Game logic is labelled. Anything exaggerated for the joke, like a cartoon dragon's fire, is called game logic.
  • Nobody gets hurt. Squash, stretch, soot and dust. That's it.
  • It always loops. Nugget's last gag sets up the first frame again.
